The following 8 river photos have been taken at the river Sense in the Sense Canyon, between Bern and Schwarzenburg in Switzerland, a few hundred meters ahead of the place where the Sense receives the waters of the river Schwarzwasser.
The Sense Canyon is one of the most stunning ravine of the swiss Mittelland. A wonderful location for hiking.
After the flood of end of August 2005, the landscape in the Canyon has completely changed. The river mostly flows a different way. Hundreds of trees have been pulled down by the high water.
Only stones remain, flowers and small plants are totally missing (except at a hidden place where flowers were protected). A wallpaper page of the escaped flowers will be set up soon.
